How Account Deletion Works
Whether you use the SmartBill4U Android Mobile App or the Web ERP, you can request the full removal of your account and related data at any time. You do not need to have the app installed or be signed in to make this request.
Data That Will Be Permanently Deleted
Upon approval of your request, the following information is permanently purged from our primary databases:
- Account Credentials: Registered email address, mobile phone number, encrypted passwords, and OAuth security tokens.
- Business & Store Profile: Shop name, branch locations, godowns, and custom branding logo images.
- Product & Inventory Catalog: Items, barcodes, pricing tiers, stock batches, and category listings.
- Customer & Supplier Directories: Customer phone numbers, addresses, custom price groupings, and supplier directory records.
Statutory Data Retention Requirements (GST & Tax Laws)
Under Section 36 of the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act, 2017 and the Indian Income Tax Act, 1961, registered business entities and electronic invoice providers are legally required to retain financial transaction records, tax invoices, and audit trails for a mandatory period (up to 72 months from the due date of filing the relevant annual return).
Processing Timeframe & Cancellation
All deletion requests undergo a 30-day processing window. This grace period protects store owners from accidental data loss or unauthorized deletion by staff members. During this 30-day window, you can cancel your request by writing to info@smartbill4u.com with your unique tracking reference number.
